Privacy Policy
How COLNIGHTD LTD handles information when you use CreatorDock.
Who operates CreatorDock
COLNIGHTD LTD is responsible for the service. For privacy questions or requests, email support@betternights.co.uk.
Information we handle
Our hosting provider may process your IP address, browser information, requested pages and security logs. Sign-in gives us a user identifier, name and email. If billing is enabled, Stripe handles payment details and sends us a customer ID, subscription ID and subscription status; we do not store card numbers.
In your workspace we store the references, notes, images, drafts, posting plans, finished media, approval choices, scheduling records, publishing outcomes and performance observations you provide.
Essential cookies
After Firebase sign-in, CreatorDock sets a signed login cookie so you can access your workspace. It expires after 24 hours or when you sign out. When you connect TikTok, a separate temporary cookie checks that the authorisation response belongs to the browser that started it. That cookie expires after 10 minutes and is cleared when the connection returns. Both cookies are Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. They support sign-in and connection security; we do not use them for advertising tracking.
TikTok connection
When you authorise a TikTok account, we receive its account identifier, display name, granted permissions, encrypted access and refresh tokens, public-post metadata and available engagement counts. TikTok handles its own consent screen. We validate and exchange the short-lived authorisation code on our server. If Direct Post is enabled and you approve a post, TikTok receives the approved media URL, post text, privacy settings and disclosure choices.
Why we use information
We use account and workspace information to provide the features you request, including sign-in, saved work, account metrics, support and any post you explicitly approve. This processing is needed to provide the service under our terms. We use limited security logs and connection checks for our legitimate interest in protecting accounts and keeping the service reliable. We may retain particular records when required by law. Connecting a TikTok account or adding a manual plan does not by itself publish content.
Providers and sharing
Firebase provides authentication; Cloudflare hosts CreatorDock and stores workspace records and media; TikTok supplies authorised account data and receives approved posts; Stripe processes payment only if billing is enabled. These providers process information to provide their services and may handle it outside the UK. Contact us for details about the relevant locations and transfer safeguards. We do not sell your workspace data.
Media in your private draft library is served only after a workspace sign-in check. Once you approve a post for scheduling, its finished media may receive a hard-to-guess public URL so TikTok can retrieve it. Anyone with that URL may be able to view the media. Do not put private information in media intended for publication.
Retention and your controls
Workspace records are kept while your account is active or until you remove them or ask us to delete the account, subject to records we need for legal or dispute purposes. Security and service logs may be retained separately by our providers. You can remove references and drafts and disconnect TikTok accounts in your workspace. Disconnecting removes our stored TikTok tokens and attempts to revoke access; you can also revoke access in TikTok settings. Email us to request deletion of the rest of your workspace data.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to processing of your personal data. Email support@betternights.co.uk and we will review your request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. We may update this policy as the product changes and will show a new effective date.
